Greetings! I just found this site from a link on craigslist.org, and thought I'd be the first trainer/behaviorist to dive in and post on this forum.
I'm looking for efficient marketing strategies. I currently market with vets, on the internet, and doggie daycares/kennels. I get quite a bit of my business from client referrals and the internet, but am always looking for what works even better!
What do other trainers out there do to increase business?

Not a trainer myself, but instead a pet sitter, but I was thinking about how training might be the same as pet sitting from an advertising standpoint.
A unique way to advertise training might be to do what a lot of pet sitters do and contact apartment complexes in your area that accept dogs. I'm sure complex managers have to field their share of barking dog complaints and possibly damage due to dogs chewing. If managers have your info, they'd probably be happy to pass it on when they get those calls. It's a plus for them since the dog would get training and they don't get anymore calls from angry tenants. :-)
